Merupakan sebuah frase dikotomis, jika kelanjutannya ditelaah lebih dalam. Di satu sisi positif, sebagai bahan pembelajaran, sisi lainnya negatif, jika akhirnya terjebak. Tentunya, bukan berarti pengaruh musik Barat era 60-70an itu merupakan sebuah lelucon, tetapi penulis merasa tertarik melihat bagaimana proses selera musik (yang saat ini nampak) universal perlahan bisa terbentuk. Peran internet bisa jadi merupakan faktor utama, namun bukankah selera musik itu urusan pribadi manusia dan beberapa “petunjuk” yang diberikan oleh Tuhan? Tanpa mengesampingkan jenis musik lain, fenomena “kembali ke masa lalu” ini sungguh menarik untuk disimak mengingat musik merupakan salah satu ketertarikan penulis yang paling besar.
Terlepas dari fenomena yang telah disebutkan di atas, pada akhirnya masing-masing manusia memiliki ketertarikan, kepercayaan, dan tujuan yang berbeda-beda, namun ada satu hal yang bisa jadi ataupun mungkin (sudah pasti) universal, yaitu keinginan untuk melakukan sesuatu, keinginan yang membuat manusia terus hidup betapa pun sengsaranya kehidupan, will to survive, bentukan sederhana dan mendasar dari will to power.
Akhir kata, mengutip pernyataan dari seorang kawan, Haikal Azizi bin Idris, ketika pertama kali penulis melontarkan ajakan untuk membentuk sebuah grup musik pada tahun 2008 silam, “Gua mau ngeband tapi gua pengen jadi pusat di band,” jika dikaitkan lagi dengan pemikiran Nietzsche, maka pernyataan tersebut merupakan sebuah kehendak untuk berkuasa, will to power, ciri manusia unggul. Di satu sisi positif, berupa motivasi dan kepercayaan diri, di sisi lain ambigu, berupa keinginan berkuasa, kuasa yang arif atau arogan? Itu pilihan pribadi, yang lagi-lagi dikotomis.
